Twin Top Fives at White Mountain for DJ Shaw

1000-DSC_0002North Woodstock, NH – DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM team traveled to northern New Hampshire for an eventful day at White Mountain Motorsports Park this past weekend.  Two 150 lap races were on tap for the Pro All Stars Series North after rain postponed the last event after the completion of the heat races.  Shaw had a great day at his home track, fighting hard and coming home with a fifth place finish in the first race and a runner up finish in the second event.

“We had a pretty solid day and gained a lot of points on second and third,” Shaw said after the races, “With Joey (Doiron) winning both races we didn’t gain any on him, but it was great to see a Dale Shaw car in Victory Lane in both races and David Oliver had a strong run too so it’s still a good day for the company.”

DJ Shaw’s Promising Run Goes Sour at End of TD Bank 250

djshaw_headshotOxford, ME – DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM Racing team returned to the Oxford Plains Speedway this past weekend for the 40th annual TD Bank 250, the biggest race in short track racing. 66 of the country’s best Super Late Model drivers battled for 41 spots in the heat races. Shaw had a great run going, as he contended in the top five for much of the race until a skirmish late in the race left Shaw with damage, and holding on for a 17th place finish at the end of the day.

Throughout the two days of practice, Shaw felt confident in his chances to turn out a good finish in the TD Bank 250. Shaw had run the race in ACT style competition in previous years, but this year was the return of the Super Late Models. He would start from the ninth position in the fifth 25 lap heat race, leaving his work cut out for him as only four cars would make the big show while the rest would be relegated to the consolation and last chance races. Shaw wasted no time on his way to the front though, as he used a timely caution flag to his advantage to work his way forward and take the heat win ahead of his teammate Andy Saunders in the 49 car! The heat win gave Shaw a 5th place starting spot for the 250 lap main event.

Shaw Finishes Seventh at Beech Ridge

DJ1 Scarborough, ME – Even with rainouts postponing a number of the races in the Pro All Stars Series North, DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM team haven’t let that keep them from the track. After two wins in two races in weekly competition, Shaw and the team were riding on positive momentum going into round four of the PASS North tour at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Shaw grabbed his first win of the season in the last PASS race at the Scarborough track, and took the win a week ago in the Nascar Whelen All-American Series “Pro Series 100.”

After a quick rainstorm earlier in the day to keep the theme of the season going, Shaw drove to a fourth place finish in his heat race. This would give Shaw a 12th place starting position for the 150 lap feature event.

DJ Shaw Wins Pro Series 100 at Beech Ridge!

dj49Scarborough, ME – After consistent rain throughout the week cancelled the PASS North Series race at Canaan Speedway, DJ Shaw and the Precision JLM team made their way to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway for their biggest race of the Nascar Whelen All-American Series, the Pro Series 100 lapper. Driving a recently purchased, Shaw was rebranded in a black and white #49 car for the evening, and it made good on its maiden voyage with the team.

After a bad pill draw to determine his spot in the lineup, Shaw had to make his way from the rear of the field in the second heat race. It wouldn’t take him long before he made his way to the front though, as he proved he’d be one to beat in the 100 lapper with a sixth place finish from the rear.

DJ Shaw Takes Win in Return to Chaudiere

chaudiere_win61513Vallee-Jonction, Quebec – DJ Shaw made the most of an off weekend from PASS competition, taking the win at Autodrome Chaudiere in a 150 lap open competition race. Using this race as a test session of sorts for the final two races of the Pro All Stars Series North Autobus Quebecois Triple Crown Series, the team was confident they had made the right changes to the setup since their last trip to Chaudiere.

The day started off with rain showers breaking up the practice sessions, but anytime the #60 Precision JLM Toyota Camry went on the track, it was flawless. Starting on the pole in his heat race, Shaw drove away from the field and made it look easy to take the win, giving him the outside of the front row for the feature event.
