The countdown is officially on for the 53rd running of the Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway. This prestigious event draws some of the biggest names in stock car racing history, including winners like Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick, making it a highly anticipated race for Super Late Model fans.
Now, one of the fastest-rising stars in the sport, Caden Kvapil, is preparing to make his debut at the Oxford 250. Caden comes off a strong run at Langley Speedway and currently leads the CARS Tour Late Model Stock championship standings. He spent time on Friday afternoon testing his ride aboard the Archie St Hilaire Go FAS Racing FURY Chassis Chevrolet at the Oxford, Maine Speedway.
For Kvapil, experiencing a new facility like Oxford Plains proved to be an adjustment. He noted that the track felt different compared to where he was coming from, describing it as having less grip and different curbing than he was accustomed to. Finding a consistent line on the unfamiliar surface presented a challenge for him during the test sessions.
Caden is benefiting from strong support from his family and team, including his father, Travis Kvapil, who has a deep history with the Oxford 250. With momentum building from recent wins, Caden is focused on fine-tuning his skills as he prepares for the weekend, hoping to achieve success at this historic venue.
