Despite weather concerns that led to a postponement, the Super Late Model action at Oxford Plains Speedway still delivered excitement on Sunday afternoon. Twenty-four Super Late Models competed in the regular weekly 50-lap feature race, drawing attention from drivers who were preparing for the upcoming Pro All-Star Series events.
Jimmy Renfrew Jr. emerged as the dominant force in the weekly event, quickly moving to the front from his 12th starting position. He demonstrated impressive speed, taking the lead away from Tom Abele Jr. on lap 22 and securing the victory for the week. This win provided Renfrew Jr. with a solid performance while also helping him dial in his car ahead of the final tune-up.
Veteran DJ Shaw also made a strong showing, finishing in second place. While pursuing the lead, Shaw battled through the field, ultimately settling for second behind Renfrew Jr., showcasing the tight competition among the regulars. The feature race saw several drivers vying for position as they navigated the track under the warm conditions.
