Mike Rowe delivered an impressive performance at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, August 15th, securing a victory in the Plant's Seafood 100. Driving from 20th in the 29-car field, Rowe managed a crucial three-wide maneuver and held the lead on the restart to claim the 100-lap Super Late Model feature.
This win comes at a pivotal time for Rowe, who is battling for the Oxford Championship Series title. Unofficially, Rowe now holds a one-point advantage over Brandon Barker in the championship standings. With the season winding down, the focus shifts to the upcoming championship showdown scheduled for Labor Day.
Rowe’s success also positioned him well for the prestigious Oxford 250. The race served as a qualifier, and Rowe earned a provisional starting position, setting the stage for him to seek a fourth crown at the historic Maine facility. The championship battle remains razor-thin as the season approaches its conclusion.
The competition remained fierce throughout the event, with D.J. Shaw finishing second after starting sixth. Brandon Barker capitalized on the late-race action to secure third place, keeping the championship fight intensely competitive. Both drivers demonstrated the grit required to compete for the top spot in Super Late Model racing.
