Brandon Barker claimed victory in the 53rd Annual Nitro Trailers Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway. The prestigious event was complicated by weather, as rainfall interrupted the race after 126 of the scheduled 250 laps were completed. Despite the challenging conditions, Barker managed to secure the win, finishing ahead of Gabe Brown who held second place at the time of the red flag.
The race proved to be a true test of endurance, especially given the track drying efforts following the weather interruption. Barker successfully navigated the final stretch, taking the lead for the last time on lap 212, successfully pacing the remaining 38 laps to claim his victory in his ninth attempt in the crown jewel event.
Barker expressed gratitude for the support he received from the team and crew, noting that the camaraderie and the quality of the cars significantly boosted his confidence. He described the experience as surreal, emphasizing the strong support system that helped make the victory possible.
