D.J. Shaw celebrated a remarkable achievement, securing his record eighth PASS North championship. This victory marked his third consecutive PASS North crown, solidifying his status in New England's premier Super Late Model touring series. Shaw, the son of 1994 NASCAR Busch North Series champion Dale Shaw, continues to pursue success in the demanding short-track scene.
While the season finale at Oxford Plains Speedway brought some disappointment in the final segment, Shaw's overall performance was stellar. He finished 11th in the final 200-lap segment, but his tenth- and ninth-place finishes in the preceding two segments were enough to secure the overall title. This accomplishment ties him with Maine veteran Johnny Clark for seven PASS crowns.
The Shaw team also achieved significant success in other motorsports. Shaw clinched the Darling’s Pro Stock Series championship at Speedway presented by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, adding a third championship in New England motorsports in 2026. His chassis, which was used by Jeremy Sorel, also secured the Granite State Pro Stock Series championship.
Shaw, who has competed full-time in 11 of the last 14 seasons, remains dedicated to the sport. He emphasized the importance of the team's consistency, noting that the cushion built throughout the season was vital to securing the titles. The team is already looking ahead to refining their speed for the 2027 season.
