SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Dan McKeage of Gorham, Maine, finished seventh in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 40-lap feature event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, July 13. As the division point leader, McKeage started 17th in the 18-car field, and he was solidly into the Top-5 by the midway point of the race. Shortly after taking over the fourth spot on Lap 24, the Naughty 40 Racing No. 40 Top Gun Construction Chevrolet developed a problem in the left front suspension. McKeage slowed and held on to finish seventh at the checkered flag.

Beech Ridge Saturday’s NASCAR Nite Pro Series 40-lap feature event was won by Charlie Colby of Newcastle
Saturday’s NASCAR Nite Pro Series 40-lap feature event was won by Charlie Colby of Newcastle.
At the drop of the green, Saco’s Keith McKinnon paced the 18-car field to the green flag and led the first lap, but was overtaken by Sulo Burbank, of Gorham. Burbank led until lap five when Colby was able to gain momentum and pass Burbank for the lead in a three-wide scramble down the frontstrech.
A caution on lap ten bunched the 18-car field back together. On the restart, Colby was able to maintain the lead from Burbank and open up a sizable advantage.
By the halfway mark, current point leader Dan McKeage, of Gorham, was able to place himself inside the top five after starting from his 17th starting spot. After starting in the last starting spot, last week’s winner Tyler King of Livermore Falls was able to carry his momentum over to this week and place himself in the top-ten midway through the race.

Joey Doiron still atop standings, Andy Shaw claims PASS Mod win
Scarborough, Maine — Cassius Clark of Farmington, Maine became the first two-time winner of the 2013 Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model season Saturday night, outdueling future New England Hall of Famer Mike Rowe to win the Southern Maine Motors 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine.
“It’s a lot of fun racing for the win with Mike Rowe,” Clark said after driving the Hight Motortsports 77 into victory lane. “Thanks to the Hights for the opportunity to drive for them, and to Brian and the guys for putting a great car underneath me.”
Clark prevailed in the season-opening 150-lapper at Oxford Plains Speedway, and entered the Beech Ridge event ranked third in PASS North driver points. Clark and Rowe swapped the top positions several times throughout the race after getting by early race leaders Martin Latulippe and Joey Doiron.

7/6/13 Beech Ridge Results
Scarborough, ME – Saturday’s NASCAR Nite Sport Series 35-lap feature event was won by recent high-school graduate Garrett Hall, of Scarborough.
Doug Wolfe, of Gorham, paced the 17-car field to the green flag, however gave up the lead to Westbrook’s Dave Charest on the first lap. Charest led the field until lap seven of the event, when Hall was able to gain an advantage coming out of the corner to capture the lead from him on lap eight. Hall didn’t look back in the caution free event and led until the checkered flag.
By the halfway mark, Gorham’s Sally Gheradi had safely maneuvered her way through the field and into the runner-up position after starting 7th in the event. Gheradi tried to run-down Hall, however he maintained his lead on her and the rest of the field.
