Bradley Babb makes Miller Lite Firecracker 50 first Pro Series win at Beech Ridge.

 

Scarborough, Maine- Third generation driver Bradley Babb was victorious on Friday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.  Babb secured his first win in the top NASCAR division in one of the seasons more prestigious races the Miller Lite Firecracker 50.   Other winners were Lyman McKeage in the Wildcat division and Ray Letellier in the Road Runners.  The Sport Series main event fell victim to rain that moved in following the fireworks show and that event will begin the race card this coming Saturday night.

Scarborough, Maine-Last season Chris Smith found himself wheeling a Pro Series car at Beech Ridge and went on to be rookie of the year.  The deal with that car was not renewed for the 2009 season so Smith was helping out George Libby with his Sport Series car this season.  Libby made the decision to put Smith in his cat for Saturday nights Budweiser 100 and as they say the rest is history as Smith was the winner.

Mike Rowe wins Coors Light 100 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.

Scarborough, Maine- Maine racing legend Mike Rowe used his long distance race experience to full advantage Saturday night to win the Coors Light 100 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.   The story of the race was the experienced Rowe versus the young charger D.J. Shaw for the win.  Dave Oliver and Mike Maietta Jr led the field to the green flag with Maietta Jr taking the lead.

Dave Oliver finds his way to victory lane at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.

 Scarborough, Maine-  Coming off an opening day top 5 finish following a qualifying wreck, Dave Oliver found the speed in his car and was victorious following the 40 lap Pro Series race on Saturday night. Mike Maietta Jr led the field to the green flag and quickly sprinted out front but tell tale signs of smoke started appearing from the #23 immediately.
