(Hermon) Maine's Family Fun Track managed to get three heat races in before the rain started to fall on Saturday, August 16th, just as the Pro-Limited's had taken the field to begin their heat race. Despite a quick downpour, light rain continued to fall, as the staff, and crews attempted to dry the track. As a result, officials were unable to return to green flag conditions.

(Hermon, Me) Points leader Brenton Parritt of Steuben flipped over three laps into the Pro-Limited feature, the weekend at Maine’s family fun track, Speedway 95, Saturday, April 9^th, drawing out the red flag. Parritt wasn’t injured, but left the race, allowing Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs to close the gap in the points standings with a win in the Pro-Limited race. Dale Swoboda of Hermon finished second, Dean Smart of Bradley took third.

(Hermon, Me) Kris Watson of Hermon, picked up the win, but it was Sullivan’s Richard Burrill who took the championship in the third and final 50-lap race of the CAM II Racing Fuels Super Street Series. Watson held the front of the field to take the win despite a caution at lap 22, when Travis Beale blew his engine, but Burrill secured the points championship for the series after a lapped car opened up the door for him to pass Mike Overlock of Franklin, and finish the race in the second spot.

(Hermon, Me) Budweiser night was held at Speedway 95 in Hermon on Saturday, July 26^th.

In the Pro-Limited heat race, Brenton Parritt of Steuben suffered mechanical issues and had to leave the race, but hard work on the vehicle between the heat and feature brought Parritt back out for the feature race, where he took the lead early and held it to the checkered flag. Last weeks feature winner Dale Swoboda crossed the line for second, with Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs in third, in the caution-free race.

SPEEDWAY 95 NEWS RELEASE July 19^th, 2008

(Hermon, Me) The Dysart’s Pro-Limited Series ended its 2008 run with its final race, under a full moon, Saturday, July 19^th at Maine’s Family fun track, Speedway 95. Steuben’s Brenton Parritt won the series championship, despite a blown engine in the closing laps. Pole sitter Parritt led through 3 cautions until lap 45, when his engine blew, drawing out the caution. Due to a series of caution flags, black flags, and race attrition, three cars remained on the track with 5 laps to go, only two of which were on the lead lap. Both lead lap drivers elected to end the race, due to the oil left behind in the wake of Parritt’s blown engine. Dale Swoboda of Hermon was declared the race winner, with Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs, in Second. Parritt was honored with third place, and Deane Smart of Bradley, although several laps down, was awarded fourth. Parritt’s finish put him in the front of the series points, earning him the championship in the three race series.
