Wiscasset Raceway May 30th Results

Wiscasset, ME- The racing program at Wiscasset Raceway on May 30th treated fans to more then just fun filled action packed racing in all divisions. Fans were able to go down on the race track at 5 p.m. and meet with their favorite drivers, John Linnehan gave the fans, crews and drivers a motivational speech, Rockland High Schools Life Skills class was on hand and one of their special student won a trip to New Hampshire Motor Speedway and on top of that it was also the first round of the Linnehan’s Credit Now Late Model Triple Crown Series.

Wiscasset Raceway May 23rd Results

Opening day at Wiscasset Raceway presented by Lester Morse Auto Sales was a great one. The sun was shining at the 2 p.m. start time, the fans packed the stands and the drivers packed the pit area. The U.S. Army reserves where there with their massive rock climbing wall. Operation Recognition was at the “Center of Speed” where they put on a parade around the track with the Patriot Guard motorcycle riders, Maine Bag Pipes and armed service men and woman. After the parade a ceremony took place in the infield to honor folks who have served for out country. After Late Model division drivers took to the stands to collect money for the good cause that is Operation recognition with Army boots and the National Anthem had been preformed we were ready for our feature events.

Wiscasset, ME- Track owners Doug and Becky White from Wiscasset Raceway, George Fernald from Unity Raceway and Del Merrit and Alice Baker from Speedway 95 have announced the title sponsor for the new late model triple crown series. Linnehans Credit Now will be the supporter for this new series which will have three races in 2009.

JEFF BURGESS CONTINUES TO ROLL AT WISCASSET RACEWAY

WISCASSET RACEWAY PRESS RELEASE 9/14/08

Jeff Burgess has picked the right time of the year to hit his stride and turn in his best racing of the season. The veteran racer from East Madison started mid pack for the 50 lap Clark's Car Crushing Prostock feature and picked his way to the front for his 3rd win of the season and second straight in Wiscasset's top division. With his recent hot streak, winning three of the last five races, Burgess cut point leader Randy Turner's advantage in half and now trails by just ten heading into the final points race on September 27th.

DAREN RIPLEY WINS NAPA 100 LATE MODEL MAIN AT WISCASSET

Over the past eighteen years Darren Ripley has established himself as an extra distance specialist on the highbanks of Wiscasset Raceway; perhaps one of the best in the track's history. Saturday night he added another line to his already stacked resume by dominating the NAPA 100 at the "Center of Speed". He led the race wire to wire, surviving the race's three cautions and then holding off a late race challenge by Chris Thorne and TJ Watson to pickup the victory. Ripley, who has piled up a long list of 100 lap wins in Super Street, Late Model and Prostock competition over the years, was also the runnerup in the annual Coastal 200 back in May. The victory highlighted a full program of action at Wiscasset Raceway sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts, represented by ten area NAPA stores. The only time Ripley appeared to have a serious run at his lead was on the final restart of the race on lap 90.
