Eddie MacDonald and the Grimm Racing Team raced not only at racetracks but also to airports this past weekend. Eddie Mac competed Saturday night at the Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway then on Sunday taking the green flag in the TD Bank 250 in Oxford, Maine.
“We did the same thing last year and it was not a lot of fun dealing with the logistics of travel and getting cars to the tracks,” said MacDonald. “We had a great effort from the guys on the team in Columbus and Oxford. A lot of people put in a lot of hard work and Rollie and I are really thankful we have such committed people. The support for our team is just super.” (more…)

Two CHR Teams Finish In Top-5 Of 39th Annual Oxford 250
OXFORD, Maine – Two Crazy Horse Racing teams finished in the Top-5 in Sunday’s 39th Annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine.
Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, finished third in the nation’s premier one-day Late Model event, while Oxford Plains Speedway Late Model point leader Travis Stearns of Auburn, Maine, finished fifth. They were part of a contingent of five Crazy Horse Racing teams to finish inside the Top-20 Sunday. (more…)
Waterbury, VT – The stars of the American Canadian Tour will kick off the second half of their season this Saturday night, (July 28), at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME for the ACT 150. Dover NH’s Wayne Helliwell, Jr., leads Hudson, NH native Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., and Williston, VT’s Brian Hoar at the midway point as the title hunt remains far from settled.
Polewarczyk comes into the event as one of the hottest racers in the region after dominating the TD Bank 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway last Sunday (July 22). He already found victory lane at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway when he claimed the win in this event two years ago, and will look to add to his increasing momentum. (more…)

Austin Theriault Oxford Plains Race Report
Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, finished third in the 39th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, July 22. After winning his qualifying race to start sixth in the main event, the Brad Keselowski development driver used tire strategy to post his second consecutive Top-3 finish in the open Late Model competition. Theriault ran as high as second in the first half of the race, got shuffled back in traffic on a mid-race restart, and then moved from 13th to third in the running order over the final 40 laps. After becoming the yougest driver in the race’s history to finish on the podium last year with a third-place finish, Theriault finished third again in just his second career start. (more…)
Thunder Road Point Leaders Survive Double Points Night
Barre, VT – Championship battles are turning the corner at Barre’s Thunder Road as point battles tighten heading into the second half of the season. Point leaders Nick Sweet, Jason Allen, and Nick Pilotte survived a double points battle last Thursday, but title hunts remain unsettled.
Late Model point leader Nick Sweet has taken no prisoners in 2012, jumping out to a 78-point lead on the wings of four feature victories. Defending Champion Dave Pembroke, looking for his third Thunder Road track title, rides second and leads the effort to break Sweet’s stranglehold. Trampas Demers has risen to third, multi-time Champion Phil Scott rides fourth, and young Cody Blake sits in fifth. (more…)
