BARRE, VT – Thunder Road will see four divisions of exciting stock car racing action return to its high
banks for the 12th time this year on Thursday evening, but will also play host to a pair of fun special events: the previously rained-out “Media Madness” race for news journalists, and the annual fan-favorite “Port-A-Potty Grand Prix.” Calkins Portable Toilets and Pelletier & Son Quick Lube and Car Wash will present the human-powered outhouse race, along with the Media Madness race and events for the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Thunder Road Late Models, NAPA Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and Power Shift Junkyard Warriors.

SEEKONK, MA – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car driver Patrick Laperle of St-Denis, QC, winner of the ACTion Super Series 200 at Autodrome St-Eustache near Montreal last weekend, plans to compete at the Phil’s Propane 100 at the historic “Cement Palace” – Seekonk Speedway, on the Massachusetts seacoast – on Saturday night.

ST-EUSTACHE, QC – Stock car driver Patrick Laperle scored a popular – and lucrative – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) victory in front of a packed grandstand full of his home-track fans at Autodrome St-Eustache on Saturday night. In winning the ACTion Super Series 200 – a combination race for the ACT Late Model Tour and the Serie ACT Castrol at the suburban Montreal 4/10-mile oval – Laperle earned $6,000 (US). It was his first ACT win in his home country, and the tenth of his career.

ST-EUSTACHE, QC – The field is set for Saturday night’s $43,000+ ACTion Super Series 200 stock car event for the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) at Autodrome St-Eustache outside Montreal, QC. Local hotshoe Sylvain Lacombe of Terrebonne, QC earned the pole position for the 200-lap combination race for the ACT Late Model Tour and the Serie ACT Castrol. Lacombe passed three cars
in his qualifying heat race to score a “+3” value in ACT’s unique “plus/minus” handicapping system.

BARRE, VT – Northfield stock car racer Chip Grenier became just the second rookie competitor in 48
years to win the Times Argus Mid-Season Championship at Barre’s Thunder Road. Grenier’s 50-lap double-points score was his second feature win of the season.

ST-EUSTACHE, QC – Top American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car drivers Jean-Paul Cyr and Patrick Laperle are each in search of their first main event victory of the season, and will be taken to task at the $43,000+ ACTion Super Series 200 at Autodrome St-Eustache on Saturday night at 5:30pm. The flat 4/10-mile race track, located just 10 minutes from Montréal, is expected to draw more than 40 teams from the United States and Canada to the $6,000-to-win combination event for the ACT Late Model Tour and the Série ACT Castrol.
