Rogelio Lopez Wins Music City 150 NASCAR Busch East Series Race

Nashville, Tenn. (July 22, 2007) – Rogelio Lopez, from Aquascalientes, Mexico, became the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series oval track race when he took the checkered flag in Sunday's Music City 150 at Nashville, Tennessee's Music City Motorplex. Lopez, 27, took the race lead from Jamie Hayes on a lap 109 restart and only gave the lead back for one lap before reassuming it for good, beating series point leader Joey Logano and 28 other drivers for his first win.

Leighton Back On NHIS Podium With Runner-Up Finish In New England 125

Loudon, NH (June 30, 2007): Brad Leighton led 48 laps of Friday evening’s Busch East Series’ New England 125 at New Hampshire International Speedway, but lost the lead to eventual race winner Joey Logano on a green-white-checkered finish and gracefully took the runner-up position at the checkers. The race was Leighton’s first appearance in the series this year, and his best finish at the ‘Magic Mile’ since 2005.

NASCAR Busch East Series To Crown Champion At Mohegan Sun

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Wed, June 13) — The NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series champion will be crowned at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., at the annual season-ending awards banquet. The ceremony will be held Saturday, Dec. 15.

The celebration will honor the 2007 NASCAR Busch East Series champion, in addition to other special award winners.

            Stafford Springs, CT (June 9, 2007): Busch East Series, Grand National Division driver and defending champion Mike Olsen jumped to second in the points after posting a runner-up finish in the TSI Harley Davidson 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway Friday night. Olsen is only 40 points out of the lead behind current leader Joey Logano.

Stafford Springs, Conn. (June 8, 2007) – John Salemi left last Saturday's NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series race with a wrecked car after a last-lap accident at South Boston Speedway. To get that car repaired in time to race Friday night at Stafford Motor Speedway meant a lot of sacrifice, a lot of work, and very little sleep, but all that effort paid off as the Nashua, New Hampshire driver rebounded with a ninth-place lead-lap finish at Stafford.
