Busch North Scene – The Busch Years Book Launch News

AUBURN – George Campbell of Turner will debut his new book, “Busch North Scene: The Busch Years 1987-2007,” at a book launch party Saturday, December 17 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn.

Campbell will be available to sign copies of his book from 2 to 4 p.m. along with two-time NASCAR Champion Brad Leighton, who wrote the foreword for the book. There will be other NASCAR personalities from the region at the event available to sign copies as well.

FOURTH PLACE FINISH FOR EDDIE MACDONALD AT DOVER

NASCAR K&N Pro SeriesEddie MacDonald and the Grimm Racing Team closed out the K&N Pro Series East schedule with an impressive fourth place finish in the Dover 150 at the Dover International Speedway. After “terrible” practice and qualifying sessions, the #71 Grimm Construction Chevy fought its way from a 26th starting position to post its second top five run in the final two events of the season.

Wallace Jr. Captures New Hampshire 125 Pole

Darrell Wallace Jr., driver of the No. 6 U.S. Army Toyota set a new track record in the K&N Pro Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway at a speed of 127.602 mph, capturing the pole position for tomorrow’s New Hampshire 125.

“It was a pretty stout day for the No. 6 team,” said Wallace. “We ended up winning practice and now to sit on the pole is awesome. I can’t say enough about the U.S. Army team and Revolution Racing. This is my Dover car so I just have to keep it in one piece and take it to the next race.”

New Hampshire Motor Speedway Announces Special Section for ‘Moose Head Maniacs’ SYLVANIA 300 Package Includes $19 Ticket and Special Edition T-Shirt

LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 19, 2011) – Wrigley Field in Chicago has it’s beloved “Bleacher Bums,” the Cleveland Browns have their passionate “Dawg Pound,” Duke University’s basketball team has its “Cameron Crazies” and now New Hampshire Motor Speedway has the “Moose Head Maniacs.”

Recognizing the passion of NASCAR fans here at “The Magic Mile,” speedway officials announced today that they have designated a special section of seating in turns three and four to create a wicked fun fan zone for the “Moose Heads.”

TOP TEN FOR MACDONALD AT GREENVILLE

The K&N Pro Series East finally returned to action after a month long hiatus plus an additional week when rained delayed the Labor Day event at Greenville Pickens Speedway to this past Saturday. “The Old House of Racing” hosted the Kevin Whitaker 140 and hopes were high in the Grimm Racing pits after a first practice run in seventh place for Eddie MacDonald, followed by an eleventh place run in the second practice. The veteran driver finished the race in the ninth position and moved up one spot to seventh in the
point’s race with two events remaining.
