Final Preparations Underway for GSPSS Competitors

As winter has turned to spring and spring is about to turn to race season, the teams of the Granite State Pro-Stock Series are in various stages of readiness for the upcoming season.

Defending champion Devin O’Connell has an extremely busy schedule on tap for 2019. In addition to defending his GSPSS championship, he will compete in a number of big races including the rescheduled All American 400 at Nashville Speedway. That race will be run using a second car that O’Connell has been preparing for several months. It was also recently announced that O’Connell will make his open wheel debut at Thompson Speedways Icebreaker, as he will pilot a MRS modified. While competing at the Commonwealth Classic in Richmond VA O’Connell stated “I’m just glad to be back racing. It’s going to be a busy season but an awesome season”

ACT Shifts Gears to Tour Championship Opener at Oxford

Waterbury, VT – With a successful debut at Virginia’s Richmond Raceway in the rear-view mirror, the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) now has its eyes set on the Northeast racing season. The ACT Late Model Tour heads to Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, April 14 at 1:30pm for the first event of the 2019 championship chase. Many stars of the Richmond event will now shift their focus to the 10-race point-counting schedule throughout New England and Quebec.

RICHMOND, VA (March 30) – Austin Reed and Mike Hopkins split Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model wins in the Inaugural PASS Commonwealth Classic Saturday afternoon at Richmond Raceway. 

            “The crew made some awesome adjustments at the halfway break and then the car was on rails,” said Reed after the biggest win of his career.  “To win at Richmond is just amazing.  I can’t believe we won yet, but I can’t wait for it to sink in.”

Waterbury, VT – Hudson, NH’s Joey Polewarczyk Jr. scored one of the biggest wins of his already illustrious American-Canadian Tour (ACT) career by taking the inaugural Commonwealth Classic 65 at Virginia’s Richmond Raceway on Saturday, March 30. “Joey Pole” took the lead for good on lap 42 and survived a pair of bids from Dover, NH’s Wayne Helliwell Jr. en route to the victory.

New England Race Fans Can Make Their Plans for the 2020 NASCAR Weekend?

The NASCAR Cup Series will race around “The Magic Mile” on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

LOUDON, N.H. – New Hampshire Motor Speedway is in full swing preparing for this year’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 on Sunday, July 21, 2019, however New England race fans can already start making plans for next season. NASCAR released its 2020 Cup Series schedule today, including its annual July 19, 2020 visit to “The Magic Mile,” which will serve as the last race prior to NASCAR’s mid-summer break.
