Barre, Vermont – Hometown stock car racer Nick Sweet nailed down his first Super Late Model race win on Friday night, holding off Quebec competitor and fellow former Milk Bowl winner Patrick Laperle in an outstanding 150-lap Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model main event, highlighting Northfield Savings Bank Night Before The Milk Bowl action at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont.

PASS North Points Race Heats Up Heading To Thunder Road

NAPLES, ME (September 26) – After a wild weekend of action at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway that saw points leader DJ Shaw struggle, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models are now preparing for Friday night’s 150 lapper at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Vermont. While Shaw limped home with a 22nd place finish at Beech Ridge, fellow two-time series champion, Travis Benjamin, finished fifth, allowing him to close to just 17 points behind Shaw.

Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model racers chase Gary Smith at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

Scarborough, Maine — Gary Smith of Bangor claimed his second career Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model win, and his first-ever Beech Ridge Motor Speedway victory, in the 150-lap main event at the historic Scarborough, Maine racetrack on Sunday afternoon.

Smith, 62, was ecstatic after outrunning his chassis builder, nine-time Oxford Plains Speedway champion Jeff Taylor of Farmington, to the checkered flag. The victory knocked an important entry off his bucket list. Smith joins a small list of Maine racers who have won premiere division events at all six modern-era asphalt racetracks in their home state.

Corliss Ready to Defend Milk Bowl Title

Barre, VT – One year after scoring the biggest win of his Late Model career, Jason Corliss is ready to do it all again. With just days remaining before the 56th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank, the hometown racer and his Burnett Motorsports team are hard at work preparing for this year’s edition of the “Toughest Short Track Race in North America”.

Many of the top American-Canadian Tour (ACT)-type Late Model racers will be in Barre on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30. But perhaps none has accomplished more than Corliss over the last two seasons, with his victory in the $10,000+-to-win Milk Bowl last October the crown jewel.
