THE STORY
Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, travels west across Canada to join the PASS North Series in the Habitations Dany Lagace 150 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec, on Saturday, June 23. The driver of the Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders Chevrolet will be looking to rebound after back-to-back disappointing outings, including an 11th-place finish last time out at his home track of Speedway 660 in Geary, New Brunswick. Despite the rough patch, Sommerville sits only 16 points out of the PASS North Series championship lead with 11 races remaining on the schedule.

Joey Doiron Autodrome Chaudiere Race Preview
THE STORY
Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, heads north of the border with the PASS North Series for the Habitations Dany Lagace 150 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec, on Saturday, June 23. Doiron will try and rebound from a mechanical failure last time out at Speedway 660 that dropped the No. 73 JBJ Machine/Scarborough Downs Chevrolet out of the series points lead for the first time this season. Doiron was never a factor the last time PASS headed to Chaudiere, having been involved in an accident in his qualifying race. After four races, he sits fifth in the series standings – just 14 points out of the lead.

NAPLES ME (6/18) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models will make the trek to Vallee-Jonction’s Autodrome Chaudiere for their only Quebec appearance of the season on Saturday June 23 for the Habitations Dany Legace 150, and there’s a new man on top of the point standings as the fastest full fender race cars in the USA and Canada travel north of the border.
Travis Benjamin is the new man atop the point standings and he’s having the kind of season that Champions are made of. Benjamin has three top five finishes in the tours’ first four events. He’s finished second twice, both times to defending PASS North Champ and defending Autodrome Chaudiere race winner Johnny Clark. Benjamin leads Clark by two points (852-850) heading into the weekend, and DJ Shaw (847), Cassius Clark (846) and Joey Doiron (838) are all right behind the top pair.

Johnny Clark, Brian Whitney on front row for Big John Phippen Memorial Race Sunday
Chris King of Burnham won a thrilling Wildcat division main event, while Alex Fernald scored his first feature win in the Late Model Pro Four class in Saturday night competition at Unity Raceway.
Six-time Pro All Stars Series Champion Johnny Clark of Farmingdale and Brian Whitney of Burnham earned front row starting position for Sunday’s Big John Phipen Memroail Race for the Late Model division. Other main event winners were Zach Audet of Skowhegan, Cody Robbins of Robbins of Montville, Ken Lord of Waterville and Robert Dyer of Canaan.

All-time Pro All Stars Series kingping Johnny Clark tops Big John Phippen Memorial Race entry list this weekend at Unity Raceway
The second annual Big John Phippen Memorial Race, presented by Clark’s Car Crushing, highlights a Father’s Day Weekend doubleheader Sunday afternoon at Unity Raceway. Twin 59-lap main events for Maine’s Fastest Late Model class, offering $1500 to the winner, make up the Phippen Memorial main event.
Phippen, of Town Hill, passed away two years ago minutes after climbing from his racecar at Speedway 95 in Hermon. He racked up many victories at Unity Raceway, Speedway 95 and Wiscasset raceway, and was a champion at all three oval tracks during his long and storied stock car racing career.

The Benjamin Motorsports team headed into this past weekends Speedway 660 race with high hope of another good run since the team has always had a lot of good runs at the track. The team is working hard and is also on a pretty good roll since the team has 5 top 5 finishes in there last 6 races.
In practice the 17 car was running well but needed to be a little better if it was going to run for the win. So the team decided to make a few adjustments going into the qualifying race. In the qualifying race Travis started 5th and finished 3rd but had nothing for the 1st and 2nd place cars so a few more adjustments where made for the feature.
