Buxton,Maine- Ryan Phillips Motorsports is excited to announce that for the 2012 racing season they will be competing full time on the Pro All Stars Series Modified division. The family owned team recently took delivery of a PASS modified purchased from Dale Shaw of Center Conway New Hampshire. It is the same PASS Modified that Shaw drove to victory at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway during the PASS 400 weekend back in September.

Kyle DeSouza crowned 2011 PASS North Super Late Model Co-Rookie of the Year

Kyle DeSouza left the comfortable confines of Seekonk Speedway in 2011 to tackle one of the country’s toughest super late model series, the Pro All Stars .When the final checkered flag flew at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway, the young man from Fairhaven Massachusetts raced home seventh in the season long PASS North point standings and was named the PASS North Co-Rookie of the Year, an award he shared with New Brunswick Canada’s Lonnie Sommerville.

Like most rookie campaigns, DeSouza’s year had its ups and downs. The team concentrated on learning the new tracks and new race cars and the new drivers racing around him. DeSouza’s used to winning; he won in every division he tackled at Seekonk and earned rookie of the year accolades every time he moved up a class.

PASS North recognizes racers at annual Banquet of Champions

Naples ME (11/7) Pro All Stars Series racers, teams, sponsors and fans packed the Howard Johnson’s Conference Center in Westbrook Maine Friday evening to celebrate the 2011 season, a festive night of awards, food and socializing.

Mike Mayberry filled in for series President Tom Mayberry at the podium, kicking off the ceremony with the Presidents special recognition awards. The PASS Mods Sportsmanship award was presented to Alan Wilson; Sumner Sessions received the Hard Luck Award and the Most Improved driver of 2011 was Dana Reed. The PASS Sportsman were up next and Donnie Morse earned the Sportsmanship Award, the Hard Luck driver was Shane Tatro and Craig Smith was Most Improved. Alex Gingras earned the title of Most Improved driver in the PASS North Super Late Model series, Joey Doiron was recognized for the Hard Luck he experienced in 2011 and Maritime racer Matt Matheson earned the Super Late Model Sportsmanship award.

Ben Rowe Wins PASS South Over the Mountain 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway

Maine Racer Now All-Time Wins Leader in the South Super Late Model Series

The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South headed back to the famed Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on Saturday, October 29th, for the Over the Mountain 150 Super Late Model event, the second to last race of the 2011 season. Despite not being in the championship hunt, Maine racer Ben Rowe survived the event, claiming the win and earning the honors of the all-time wins leader in the South Super Late Model series.

150 Laps of Super Late Model Racing Up Next in Penultimate Series Event

The 2011 racing season is winding down, but the battle for the championship in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model Series South division is far from over as the series returns to Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on Saturday, October 29th, for 150 laps of racing action in the penultimate event of the year.

The championship chase has primarily been between two racers. Cagey veteran Jay Fogleman sits on top of the points with a victory to his credit at the start of the season at Anderson Motor Speedway (SC). His consistency has placed him in the lead with young racer Ryan Blaney trailing by just four points. Blaney earned victories at Dillon Motor Speedway (SC) and Ace Speedway, and has finished ahead of Fogleman in the last five events, helping to close the gap.

OXFORD, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., posted his first career PASS North Series Top-5 finish by finishing fifth in the PASS Championship 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Saturday, October. 14. Hoar started on the outside pole after winning his heat race and led a total of 40 laps in the first half of the event, which was shortened to 118 laps by rain. The RPM Motorsports No. 37 GossCars.com Dodge loosened up significantly on the eight-time ACT Late Model Tour champion, who finished 11th in his PASS Super Late Model debut at Oxford back in July.
