Doiron Continues Top Five Streak at Beech Ridge

1000-DSC_8255 Scarborough, ME – After several rain outs, Joey Doiron and the #73 Wild Willy Burger’s team was back in action this past weekend at their home track of Beech Ridge Motor Speedway for the fourth event of the Pro All Stars Series North. Doiron and the team have been stellar at the 3/8th mile track recently, finishing in the top five in three of their last four starts at the track. They continued that streak with a strong fourth place effort on Saturday night.

“We finished about where we should’ve tonight,” Doiron explained after the race, “We battled a tight racecar all night and kept getting pinned on the bottom on each restart, we used up our right front just trying to keep our track position, but I’m glad we were able to get another strong run to keep the momentum going.”

Speedway 95RYAN DEANE TAKES SPEEDWAY 95 LATE MODEL FEATURE

After a 5 lap side by side battle for the lead following a lap 9 restart, Ryan Deane of Winterport took the lead from outside pole sitter Deane Smart for good on lap 14 of the 40 lap Dysart’s Late Model feature at Speedway 95 Saturday night and held off 2012 champion Andy Saunders over the final 10 laps to post his third win of the season. Kalel, who also has 2 wins for the season, finished fourth with rookie Andrew McLaughlin of Harrington, who started on the pole and has yet to take a feature win in this highly competitive division, finishing fifth. Smart and McLaughlin won the night’s qualifiers for the division.

Cody Robbins of Palermo notched yet other win in the Bomber division as he led from the pole to the checkers in the second 25lap Bomber series race of the season.
