(Hermon, Me) 11 Feature races were on the card for Mothers Day at
Maine's Family Fun track, Speedway 95 in Hermon, 5 of which were make
up races from the rained out events of April 27th. Also, as an added
attraction, the first appearance of the Mid-Coast Mini Cups raced the
third mile oval.

Adams out-duels Rolfe on late restart

second-time fatherhood next on schedule


OXFORD, Maine – Travis Adams got the jump on Ricky Rolfe in the outside lane on a restart with 14 laps to go and held on to win the Oxford Networks Late Model season-opener Saturday on Double T Fence Night at Oxford Plains Speedway.

A seven-time feature winner on the way to his third championship in five seasons last summer, Adams recovered from a broken timing chain that took him out of the New England Dodge Dealers ACT 150 just five laps into the touring event on his home track two weeks ago.
Adams told the crowd that he hopes he will be back to try for his second straight 40-lap win next Saturday, but that his 2008 racing season will fall no higher than second on his list of priorities. His wife, Becky, is scheduled to give birth to the couple's second child by

SPEEDWAY 95 NEWS RELEASE May 3rd, 2008

(Hermon, Me) The Pro All Stars Series and Speedway 95 officials, were unable throw the green on Saturday’s Pro All Stars North Community Pharmacies 150 super late model due to rain. The light rain that crept in allowed for only three of the four PASS divisions to complete their programs.

After a morning of brief showers, the rains stopped long enough Sunday afternoon for Speedway 95 to start it’s racing program with a visit from the Wicked Good Vintage Racing Association who showed up with 21 race cars from yesteryear. Although the feature was run under less than perfect conditions, Tim Reynolds of Milford drove his ’37 Plymouth to victory. John Rice finished second in a ’37 Pontiac coupe, followed by Haggie Pratt of Dexter in a ’38 Chevy, Mark Collins of Appleton in his ’36 Ford coupe and Robert Hills of Searsmont in a ’36 Chevy.

Rolfe denies Cyr in clash of champions

OXFORD, Maine – It looked so easy for so long, until a fellow champion crashed Ricky Rolfe's party.
Rolfe dominated the early stages of Saturday's New England Dodge Dealers American-Canadian Tour 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway, but the two-time OPS champion was forced to withstand a late challenge from seven-time ACT king Jean-Paul Cyr to win a touring event at his home track for the first time since 2002.

SPEEDWAY 95 NEWS RELEASE APRIL 20TH, 2008

(Hermon, Me) Speedway 95 opened up the 2008 season Sunday April 20th with racing in 5 divisions, including the brand new Dysart’s Pro-Limited Class.

Scott Modery of Hermon earned the pole for the Dysart’s Pro-Limited race, but outside pole sitter Josh St. Clair of Liberty grabbed the top spot in the caution free race for the first 17 laps. On Lap 18 Modery slide into the low groove and drove past St. Clair to earn the top spot and held it for the win. St. Clair finished second, and Dave St. Clair, also of Liberty crossed the line for third. Modery was DQ in post race inspection, handing first place to Josh St. Clair, second to Dave St. Clair and third to Glen Curtis, Jr of Hudson.
