As the Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour season came to a close this past Saturday, you could feel the energy in the pit area as the drivers were preparing for one last shot at a victory before retiring their vehicles for the winter. This time however, the tour was back on the road course at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Shaun Buffington, who came into this race undefeated on the road course, was quickest in practice. The field was realigned after the top eight drivers were inverted and the 18 car Legends field took the track for the final time of the 2011 season.

The final race of the 2011 season for the Benjamin Motorsports race team was this past weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway. Once again the team brought a very fast car and in practice the team posted the 3rd fastest time and the car was driving very well.
After qualifing 13th out of the 41 cars that attempted to qualify, Travis thought the car was very good. At the start of the 150 lap feature the 17 car was heading to the front. On lap 45 the team had moved into the top 5 and by lap 70 Travis was leading the field. The Benjamin Motorsports team would lead til around lap 100 and then Scott Mulkern made the pass for the lead. On the next restart Travis would take the lead again and lead til lap 112 and then once again Mulkern would make his way past Travis.

PASS Champs wrap up their title runs in style with feature wins
Oxford ME (10/15) It was Champions Day at Oxford Plains Speedway for all three Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North racing series Saturday, and Andy Shaw (PASS Mods) and Carey Martin (PASS Sportsman) both claimed their respective divisions championship in style by winning their season finales.
For Shaw it was a fitting end to a dominant season. The Center Conway NH racer’s 2011 record is enviable; 10 starts, 7 wins and 9 top five finishes kept Shaw on top of the standings all season long, and moved him to the top of the PASS Mod record book as the division’s winning-est driver.

Johnny Clark claims his sixth PASS North title



Oxford ME (10/15) Scott Mulkern roared from the back of a 34 car field to claim the lead and the win in Saturday’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North 150 at Oxford (ME) Plains Speedway. Travis Benjamin led much of the way but had to settle for the runner up spot, and DJ Shaw raced home third in the PASS North season finale, cut short at lap 118 due to rain.
Joey Pole and Brian Hoar led the field to the green and Pole jumped out front early. Hoar took over from laps 29 through 70 but Benjamin was rumbling up through the field and he wrestled the lead away from Hoar on lap 70.

Scott Mulkern Wins PASS North Season Finale
Veteran Super Late Model Driver Snaps 7-Year Drought
OXFORD, Maine – Scott Mulkern of Falmouth, Maine, led the final 15 laps en route to his second career PASS North Series win with a victory in the season-ending PASS Championship 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday.
The race was called by rain after 118 laps. Two unsuccessful attempts were made by series officials to dry the track before the win was granted to Mulkern and the No. 84 Southern Maine Motors/Community Pharmacies Dodge.
