Farmington, Maine’s Cassius Clark is the 2012 Auto Value 250 champion. Clark capped off an impressive SpeedWeekend run to take the checkered flag in Atlantic Canada’s biggest short track race of the season. “Wow what a run, the King Racing team of Rollie MacDonald gave me a great car tonight and I am thrilled to be the Auto Value 250 champion” said Clark in Speedway 660’s Victory Lane. “I love Canada and to follow up the Atlantic Cat 250 win at Scotia SpeedWorld with Speedway 660’s Auto Value 250 this year is certainly one of the biggest thrills of my racing career.”
Clark led 120 laps en route to his victory and picked up 21 thousand dollars in prize money. John Flemming captured the Modern Electric half way challenge, led 72 laps, finished 8th and takes home more than 67 hundred dollars in prize money.

Charlotte, NC 9/3/12- It’s hard to believe that a driver in his rookie season in a series as tough as the PASS South super late model series would be rewriting history books, but that’s exactly what Kyle Grissom has done so far in 2012. Grissom, from nearby Concord, North Carolina, made it three wins in a row Saturday night at the Caraway Speedway in Sophia, North Carolina. Grissom’s win was his fifth of the year, breaking the record for most wins in a single season by a PASS South Series driver previously held by Ben Rowe who won four events in 2009 in route to the series championship that same season.
“This one wasn’t easy tonight. Jay Fogleman did everything he could except wreck me to try to get the win tonight, I was just fortunate to get a good jump on that final restart and bring it back around to the finish,” stated Grissom in victory lane. “If it had been anyone else racing me that hard other than Jay I would have probably ended up with a wrecked racecar.”

Gonyaw, Pilotte Pick up Feature Wins
Barre, VT – Eight-time Champion Brian Hoar made it clear his championship defense was far from over on Sunday afternoon at Thunder Road, claiming the clutch victory in the 34th Annual Bond Auto Labor Day Classic. Current point leader Wayne Helliwell, Jr. made him earn it, finishing a close second, and three-time Thunder Road track champion Cris Michaud rounded out the podium finishers.
Rookie Jimmy Hebert led the way early until a lap 33 caution when Helliwell spun in turn three. Hebert retained the lead following the restart, but was overpowered by Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. on lap 54 of the event. His lead, however, was short-lived when a hard charging Brent Dragon charged from the tenth starting position to take the lead on lap 68.

Montmagny, QC – Quebec City’s Jean-François Déry claimed his third Série ACT Castrol win of the season in the Montmagny 150 at Autodrome Montmagny on Saturday, September 1. Déry inherited the lead on lap 124 after leader Patrick Laperle had a wheel break on the right front. Déry held off Dany Trepanier for two more restarts to take the win, while Laperle recovered to finish third.
Laperle took the starting grid in 13th, but picked up several spots following a large pile-up coming down to the initial green. The event was red flagged while pole-sitter Yannick Tremblay, Patrick Cliche, Marco Savoie and Daniel Descoste had to be separated from the inside wall. Laperle would take the green in the seventh spot on the rear bumper of David Michaud. The first 100 laps of the event saw an all out war between point leader Laperle and Michaud.

43 ACT Competitors Prepare for Labor Day Classic
Barre, VT – Multi-time Thunder Road Champion Cris Michaud returned to the winner’s circle in the Aubuchon Hardware Late Model 100 for the third time in 2012 after a high-flying duel with 2012 King of the Road Nick Sweet. Sweet closed out his remarkable championship campaign with a second place finish, and Essex Junction’s Dave Whitcomb rounded out the podium with third.
Jeffersonville’s Joey Becker and Whitcomb set the tone of the race early, which started on lap 17 after a rain delay last Thursday. The pair battled side by side until lap 26 when Becker assumed the point on the inside lane. Not ten laps later, Whitcomb was back in the hunt, swinging to the outside lane and reclaiming the lead on lap 40. While the pair was battling, Michaud, Sweet, and three-time track Champion Phil Scott worked their way through the field to catch the leaders. Michaud found himself in a three-car battle for the lead with Becker and Whitcomb on lap 63, before Becker’s fell to a determined Sweet.
