Lee, NH (Sept 1, 2008) – – “Any young race fan afforded the opportunity to ride in a stock car will always remember the moment,” said speedway announcer John Spence. “I know I have, some 47 years later, it’s a sound, a feeling, an image I’ll never forget.” Reflecting on his journey around a race track he would later become affiliated with Spence added, “It was Bob Dube, a racer out of Haverhill, MA, a Hudson Speedway Class B regular, he probably never knew, but he gave me a life long remembrance, so clear, it was like it was yesterday.”

On Saturday, August 16, 2008, as part of a fundraising effort, the New Waterford Speedbowl hosted four of the area’s fastest and most exciting racing divisions-the International Supermodified Association (ISMA), the True Value Modified Racing Series (TVMRS), the Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA), and their own NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modifieds.
Lee, NH (August 24, 2008) – – The weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series continues Friday night when Lee USA Speedway, Route 125, Lee, NH, will host its annual Prime Storage sponsored, “Lance Davis Memorial Shoot-Out”honoring the late local racer. Davis was a long-time regular competitor who passed away a few years ago. The New England Legends cars are also scheduled.
