Tom Oliver PASS Mod winner at Beech Ridge

Veteran racer Tom Oliver has a wealth of open wheel and Beech Ridge Motor Speedway experience, and he put both to good use Saturday night to win the PASS Mod feature at Scarborough Maine’s Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Oliver raced up from seventh on the starting grid to nab his first feature win of the season over Gary Norris Jr., Rob Herrick, Kenny Harrison and Bill Dixon.

Bates Scores first PASS North Super Late Model win at Beech Ridge

 

Adam Bates used the high groove to get the best of Scott Chubbuck after a lap 110 restart and kept the field at bay to the checkers to earn his first Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late model win at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Saturday night. The nineteen year old Warner New Hampshire racer beat D.J. Shaw and Chubbuck to the line in a blanket finish. Beech Ridge regulars Bill Rodgers and David Oliver came home fourth and fifth in a race that was short on cautions and long on great racing all over the speedway

Dery a Surprise Serie ACT Castrol Winner at St-Felicien

      Dery passed Val-Belair, QC racer Alexandre Gingras, who spun out of the lead, and hometown favorite Karl Allard to enter the top five, then steadily worked past visiting ARCA Re/Max Series veteran Mario Gosselin of Lake Wales, FL Yvon Bedard of St-Nicolas, QC, and Lanoraie, QC’s Claude Leclerc to reach second place.  Suddenly, with two laps remaining, race leader Martin Lacombe of Terrebonne, QC ran out of fuel and coasted to a stop, bringing out the race’s 14th and final caution flag.

Grenier Provides Fireworks for Packed House at Thunder Road

       BARRE, VT – Late Model stock car driver Chip Grenier of Graniteville provided his own brand of holiday fireworks for the huge spectator crowd at the Pepsi Independence Day Spectacular on Thursday night at Barre’s Thunder Road.  The 2007 Rookie of the Year fought with former Track Champions Dave Whitcomb and Dave Pembroke over the final 10 circuits of the 50-lap Pepsi event.

Pepsi Fireworks to Ring in Independence Holiday at Thunder Road

      BARRE, VT – There will be fireworks on the track and in the air at Barre’s Thunder Road on Thursday (July 3) as Pepsi presents the annual Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement.” Thrilling stock car racing action from four divisions will begin at 6:30pm, followed by a massive fireworks display, considered by many to be the best in Central Vermont each year.
