THE STORY
Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., looks for his third ACT Late Model Tour win of the season in the ACT 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H., on Saturday, June 18. Hoar, who has 30 career Tour victories is the defending champion of this event, and the seven-time series champion leads the 2011 standings through four events. In last year’s only Tour stop at White Mountain, Hoar started deep in the field before taking command just 17 laps from the finish to post the first of back-to-back wins in 2010. (more…)
Barre, VT – Barre native Mike Bailey earned his third career Late Model feature win at Thunder Road International Speedbowl as he led all 50 laps on the first Thursday night show of the year June 16. Bailey held off Waterbury’s Brett Wheeler and Washington’s Ricky Roberts who completed the top three.
Joey Becker and Brooks Clark rounded out the top five, while Mike Bruno and Chip Grenier took sixth and seventh respectively. Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott worked his way from 16th to claim eighth. He was followed by Memorial Day Classic winner John Donahue in ninth and former King of the Road Dave Pembroke in tenth. (more…)
Joey Polewarczyk Jr ACT Series- White Mountain Motorsports Park Race Preview
N. Woodstock, N.H.- ACT Late Model Series Driver #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson, N.H. will be competing at White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) this Saturday, June 18, 2011in the WMMP 150-Lap event.
Polewarczyk Jr is eager to build on an outstanding fourth-place finish he came away with in the last ACT race, held at Oxford Plains Speedway (June 4) “We felt that we had a winning car at Oxford but we were happy with our finish. It was kind of as if a weight was lifted off our shoulders, after our Devils Bowl outing. We knew the Pole’s Automotive, N.H. Precision, Hedman Hedders Ford Fusion was capable but we just needed to seize the opportunity” Joey says. (more…)
Montmagny, QC – St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle led the final 40 laps of the Série ACT Castrol Montmagny 100 at Autodrome Montmagny in Montmagny, Quebec on Saturday, June 11. Laperle worked his way through traffic from the 14th starting position during a 99 lap green flag period after the only caution of the event of lap 1. It is the second win of the Série ACT Castrol season for the former series champion. Laperle was in his Chevrolet powered ride.
Defending Série ACT Castrol Champion Karl Allard claimed the runner-up position, while second year driver Jimmy Cormier ran in the second position for most of the event before fading to third. Veteran Claude Leclerc and Jean-François Déry rounded out the top five. Donald Theetge, David Michaud, Kevin Roberge, Jonathan Bouvrette and Jonathan Desbiens completed the top ten. (more…)
Oxford, ME – Winthrop, Maine’s Jeff White earned his first career American Canadian Tour win in dominant fashion at his hometrack of Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, June 4. White led all but three laps in the Big JAB 150 while battling with seven time and defending ACT Champion Brian Hoar.
Hoar held on for second followed by Brent Dragon, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. and another Oxford regular TJ Brackett rounding out the top five. Shawn Martin completed the three Oxford regulars in the top ten with a sixth. Wayne Helliwell was the biggest mover in the 150 lap event as he came all the way from 32nd to finished seventh. Eric Chase, Jeff Labrecque, Jr., and 2010 ACT Rookie of the Year Brad Babb completed the top ten. (more…)
