Barre, VT – Montpelier’s Dave Pembroke holds the Late Model points lead by a slim 11 points over Barre’s Nick Sweet at Thunder Road International Speedbowl Season heading into this Thursday’s Times Argus Mid-Season Championship Night. Double points will be on the line. Pembroke and Sweet head into what is possibly the most important event in their campaign to become the “King of the Road” in the 50th Anniversary Season.

Jul 13, 2009 | American Canadian Tour
Peterborough, ON – Brad Leighton of Center Harbor, NH captured his second ACT Tour victory of the 2009 season in the Summer Sizzler 200 at Kawartha Speedway in Peterborough, ON. Leighton started on the outside pole with a plus four handicap in ACT’s plus/minus system and led until Patrick Laperle took control on lap 27.

Jul 10, 2009 | American Canadian Tour
Waterbury, VT – Thunder Road International Speedbowl has recently announced a Thursday, Friday doubleheader due to a make-up of the previously rained out Pepsi event. Friday, August 14 has been added to the 50th Anniversary Season schedule at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement” as Pepsi Night. The Pepsi event was scheduled for Thursday, July 2 but was postponed due to rain.

BARRE, VT – For the second time this week at Thunder Road International Speedbowl a Late Model competitor has scored his first career victory. Grant Folsom of Waitsfield, VT captured his first win during the “Nation’s Site of Excitement” Charter Communications stock car event on Thursday, July 9th. Folsom joins last Sunday’s winner Reno Gervais as first-time winners this week.

BARRE, VT – Reno Gervais “The King of the Kingdom” of Island Pond, VT took home his first career Late Model win in the 50 lap main event during Thunder Road’s 50th Holiday Celebration on Sunday, July 5th. Gervais is a former two –time NAPA Tiger Sportsman champion has returned full-time to Thunder Road for the 50th Anniversary Season.
