Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced that the second running of the $25,000.00 to win INTERNATIONAL 300 race on Sunday, July 20 at the Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY will feature the Black Cat Hell Driver show on the eve (July 19) of
the region’s largest stock car event.
“Bringing back the old-fashioned Lucky Teter, Joie Chitwood, Jack Kochman-type thrill show is a great way for the fans that are coming for the full weekend to start their fun off on Saturday night. Last year we had so much racing over two days that we felt something totally different for this year on Saturday night might be better for the whole family,” said Tom Curley, promoter of the biggest event of the ACT race season.

Waterbury, VT – Claude Leclerc of Lanoraie, Quebec will make his 500th career start with the American Canadian Tour organization when the Série ACT visits Autodrome St-Eustache this Saturday, July 5. When Leclerc takes the green flag in the 100-lap event this Saturday, he will reach an untouchable milestone which started 35 years ago.

He continued to compete on the series when it became the American Canadian Tour in 1986 until the end of the Pro Stock era following the 1995 season. Barre, VT – As the heart of summer nears, the title hunts in all three stock car racing divisions at Thunder Road International Speedbowl are heating up. Just two events remain before the double-point Mid-Season Championships, beginning with the Northfield Savings Bank event this Thursday, July 3.
Two-time “King of the Road” Nick Sweet of Barre and defending “King of the Road” Derrick O’Donnell of North Haverhill, NH are door handle-to-door handle at the top of the Late Model standings. The pair is separated by just one point and surprisingly both drivers are still looking for their first wins of the season.
Right behind the former champions are John Donahue, Jason Corliss and Cody Blake who are all within striking distance of their first career titles. Two more former champions in Dave Pembroke and Phil Scott also sit less than twenty points out of the lead.

Canadian speedster, Alex Labbe scored an impressive victory this past Saturday night at Autodrome Montmagny in Montmagny, Quebec, as he held off a race long challenge from Cassius Clark to secure the win.

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt – Two thirds of the way through the American Canadian Tour season and Packard is locked in the middle of the ACT championship points battle. Continuing her impressive season, Packard and her 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team set out this weekend to build on their success, including the ACT race at White Mountain Motorsports Park race. Packard finished the race in 5th place, moving her from 4th to 2nd in the championship point standings. “This was my first time at White Mountain in a late model, so I spent practice just learning the track, and where I needed to run,” said Packard.
In the heat race Packard started in the third position, fighting an ill-handling race car she was able to finish the heat in third place. This got her into the race without having to run in the consolation race, which gave Neal and the guys time to work on the car. “We fought a car that was loose in and pushy tight through the center in the heat race,” Packard said “But the guys went back and forth across the spectrum to fix the car for the feature event.”
