OXFORD, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, finished third in the 38th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, July 24. Theriault, 17 and entering his senior year at Fort Kent High School, started 11th in the 38-car field after qualifying for the first time for the marquee midsummer event. He used pit strategy to work his way into the Top-5 by Lap 187, and he was sitting third on a late restart with 16 laps remaining – first challenging Nick Sweet for second-place and then holding off a hard-charging two-time champion of the event, Eddie MacDonald, to post the podium finish.

Oxford ME (7/23) Kyle Busch powered past Patrick Laperle on a lap 112 restart in Saturday nights’ Pro All Stars Series (PASS) 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway to claim his first PASS North super late model race win. Cassius Clark came up to challenge Busch late in the race but settled for second with Lonnie Sommerville third.
Busch and Laperle led the thirty four car field to the green and the first 92 laps ran caution free with Laperle out front. Busch and Joey Pole were never more than a couple of car lengths away.

Brian Hoar: TD Bank Oxford 250
Oxford Plains Speedway Race Report
OXFORD, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., finished fifth in the 38th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, July 24. Hoar, who started 25th in the 38-car field after winning his second-round qualifying race, drove into the Top-15 by the Lap 50 mark of the main event. He then used a one-tire pit stop early to gain track position before stopping for three tires, including both right sides. After restarting in 11th with less than 80 laps remaining, Hoar charged to the Top-5 finish, his second straight in the Oxford 250.
