GSPSS and Claremont Motorsports Park finally Going Racing
The Granite State Pro Stock Series and Claremont Motorsports Park are going racing… finally! June 5 at 7pm the sound of stock cars will return to Claremont NH as the facility will see competition for the first time in 2020.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, both the series and tracks schedules have been put on hold until now. Due to state of NH restrictions, fans will not be allowed in the grandstands but those wanting to witness this event will be able to do so via Speed51 pay per view. “We are really excited to be able to team up with our partners at speed51 and make this event happen”, stated series President Mike Parks. “While we wish we could have our loyal fans in the stands cheering our competitors on, it’s just not in the cards at this time.”
Waterbury, VT & Vallée-Jct., QC – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Autodrome Chaudiere officials have mutually agreed to cancel the Claude Leclerc 150 that was scheduled for Saturday, May 30. The event, which debuted in 2019, is expected to return to the ACT Late Model Tour schedule for the 2021 season.
The decision, as with many other racing postponements and cancellations in 2020, was made due to health and safety restrictions in place related to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. To comply with Quebec mandates and guidelines, Autodrome Chaudiere had previously suspended all racing events through the month of August. Furthermore, the United States–Canada border remains closed to non-essential travel through at least June 21, which would preclude U.S. teams from traveling to the track even if it was in operation.

This marks the 20th win for Stewart-Haas Racing since joining Ford (Harvick has won 15).
The win is Mustang’s third of the season.
Today’s win is Ford’s 689th all-time in NASCAR Cup Series competition.
KEVIN HARVICK, No. 4 Busch Light #YOURFACEHERE Ford Mustang — POST-RACE INTERVIEW — “I want to thank everybody from NASCAR and all the teams for letting us do what we do. I didn’t think it was gonna be that much different and then we won the race and it’s dead silent out here. We miss the fans, just gotta thank everybody from Busch Light, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Mobil 1, Jimmy John’s, everybody from Ford who helps on this car. It’s a pretty big honor to win 50 races in this deal and I just have to thank all my team guys and everybody for what they’re doing. This Dr. Josh Hughes is one of my really good friends. I spend a lot of time with him and have seen how this whole pandemic has affected our front line workers in person on a weekly basis, so thank you, Josh. We’re thinking of you. I want to say hi to DeLana and my kids at home. I guess we’ll bring home the trophy.”
(Halifax, NS – May 2, 2020) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour has cancelled the first two races of the 2020 season due to the ongoing global pandemic. The Lucas Oil 200 scheduled for May 16th at Petty International Raceway and the Cummins 150 scheduled for May 30th at Scotia Speedworld will not be rescheduled.
As for the remainder of the 2020 schedule, the Tour remains optimistic that we will get some races in this season. Management will continue to monitor the situation and resulting government directives closely. We will make further decisions when we can and share them with you as quickly as possible.
We encourage everyone to follow all directives so we can flatten the curve and get back to the race track this summer!
