Montmagny, QC – St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle led the final 40 laps of the Série ACT Castrol Montmagny 100 at Autodrome Montmagny in Montmagny, Quebec on Saturday, June 11. Laperle worked his way through traffic from the 14th starting position during a 99 lap green flag period after the only caution of the event of lap 1. It is the second win of the Série ACT Castrol season for the former series champion. Laperle was in his Chevrolet powered ride.
Defending Série ACT Castrol Champion Karl Allard claimed the runner-up position, while second year driver Jimmy Cormier ran in the second position for most of the event before fading to third. Veteran Claude Leclerc and Jean-François Déry rounded out the top five. Donald Theetge, David Michaud, Kevin Roberge, Jonathan Bouvrette and Jonathan Desbiens completed the top ten. (more…)

Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, heads home with the PASS North Series for the PASS 200 at Speedway 660 in Geary, N.B., on Saturday, June 11. Sommerville is from nearby Saint John, and he’s the only Canadian-born two-time winner of the track’s marquee event – the Peterbilt 250 – held each September. After finishing fourth in each of the first two races to open the season, Sommerville has his sights set on visiting PASS North Series victory lane with Mulkern Racing for the first time in his career this weekend at his home track. THE STORY
Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, heads two one of his favorite PASS North Series tracks when the series competes in the PASS 200 at Speedway 660 in Geary, N.B., on Saturday, June 11. Doiron tested at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway last weekend by competing in a pair of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 40-lap events at the track near his home. Last season, Doiron debuted at Speedway 660 and is anxious to return this weekend for the 200-lap event which will be split into a pair of 100-lap segments. (more…)
Naples ME (6/8) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models take a road trip this weekend for their only Maritime Canada appearance at New Brunswick Speedway 660, a popular stop on a 2011 schedule that will see the racing road show stop in four states and two Canadian provinces.
The Pro All Star’s trip to the Geary Woods oval on Saturday June 11 will mark the first extra distance event of the season and 200 green flag laps around this tight little oval is always a challenge. It’s a trip that the American teams look forward to each season and a grandstand packed with avid race fans is one of the reasons why. . (more…)
