Billado, Davis Pick Up Feature Wins
Barre, VT – Multi-time champion Cris Michaud of East Montpelier stormed to his 18th feature victory at Thunder Road under the lights on Thursday night’s (June 28) FairPoint Communications event. Michaud had to hold off the blistering pace of young Cody Blake, who claimed the runner up position for his second podium finish in a row. Eric Chase surged late to complete the podium as he grabbed third at the line.
Michaud wasted no time running to the front in the caution free event, stretching out a quarter lap lead while a four car battle for second brewing behind him. Blake finally escaped and gave chase late, and had just arrived at Michaud’s bumper when the checkers flew.

Theetge Capitalizes on Déry’s Troubles
Waterbury, VT – With a fast car and a little luck, Boischatel, QC’s Donald Theetge has taken over the point lead on the Série ACT Castrol. With two championships already in hand, Theetge seeks a record third Série ACT Castrol title in 2012.
2012 was shaping up nicely for Quebec’s Jean Francois Déry, who led the points after two straight third place finishes to begin the season, but it all came to a screeching halt when a rock shot through his radiator in the third event of the year, relegating the point leader to a last place finish.

18-Year-Old BKR Development Driver On Quick Learning Curve
Austin Theriault hasn’t been home since graduating from high school on June 8.
In a span of 14 days, Theriault has traveled from his Fort Kent home to Milwaukee, back to the race shop in western Maine, to the White Mountains of New Hampshire twice, back to the midwest for a race in Michigan and then back to the race shop in the Pine Tree State.
The 18-year-old’s racing road trip still isn’t over yet with an ACT Late Model Tour race in North Woodstock, N.H., this weekend, but Theriault is holding up just fine. The Brad Keselowski Racing development driver has competed in a pair of marquee midweek Super Late Model events during the busy stretch – and though the final results might not have been what Theriault wanted, he does feel like he’s taking steps in the right direction.
