Seekonk Or Lee Will Again Decide VMRS Title

Canaan, N.H. – -Two traditional race events, popular with fans and competitors alike, will determine the 2011 Valenti Modified Racing Series championship.

As in past years, the run to the title could be claimed this weekend, Oct 8 and 9, at Seekonk Speedway. Seekonk, MA., at the annual “DAV Fall Classic,” or Oct 22, and 23 at New Hampshire’s Lee USA Speedway as part of that track’s 25th annual “Oktoberfest” weekend.

RESULTS FROM LEE USA SPEEDWAY ON SEPTEMBER 9th

Lee, NH – Lee USA Speedway opened up Friday night’s program with a tribute to first responders in remembrance of the events of 9/11, with Senator Kelly Ayotte joining representatives of police, fire, and rescue organizations for the pre-race ceremonies.

It was the final Friday night race of the season for the weekly competitors, with a wire-to-wire win in the Benson Limber and Hardware feature event as well as the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodified title going to multi-time track champ Wayne Helliwell, Jr.

LEE USA SPEEDWAY RACE RESULTS Sept. 2nd

LEE USA
Lee, NH – The chase for the 2011 championships continued at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, with Tony Carroll taking down the win in the Benson Lumber and Hardware-sponsored NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodified feature event.

Carroll was running the main event in memory of his car owner, Paul Brown, who had passed away earlier in the week after a lengthy battle with illness. The extra motivation was just what the doctor ordered, as Carroll went flag to flag to score his first win of the year.

SILVA CLASSIC RACE FRIDAY NIGHT AT LEE

LEE, N.H. — Ted Christopher, NASCAR’s winningest modified driver of the past 10 years, makes his first-ever start in this Friday night’s Ollie Silva Memorial Classic supermodified race here at Lee USA Speedway. Christopher joins a highly competitive field including 2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck national champion Johnny Benson, a pair of six-time International Supermodified Association champions, Chris Perley and Russ Wood, plus four-time Northeast Midget Racing Association champ Ben Seitz.

RESULTS FOR LEE USA ON AUGUST 12th

Lee, NH – Another full night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly action went into the record books at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, including the annual running of the 50-lap Lance Davis Memorial for the Prime Storage Late Model Sportsmen.

Kayla Cazares was first to lead the extra-distance affair, setting the pace for the first six circuits before giving up the top spot to Timmy Johnson. Johnson’s time out front was short, as Bobby Melvin nosed ahead of him just nine laps later, but Melvin’s was even shorter.
