David “Rowdy” Smart of Exeter, NH., will be doing double duty again this race season. Competing in the Ironman Division at Lee Speedway as well as Star Speedway in New Hampshire. In the off season you can find David online doing Iracing, video games, Facebook Live Fans and Secondlife.

 

This race season “Rowdy” is looking to take home 2 championships and doing more car show for the fans.

Kate Re #10 – I’m ready for the season to start!!!

The 2018 race season is just around the corner and Kate Re of Lovell, Maine will be starting the next step in her racing career. “My plans for the 2018 season are to get as much seat time and learn as much as possible.   I’m excited to try something new and look forward to the season.”

 

There are a number of different types of race cars and series, so what made Kate decide to race modifieds, this season? “I’ve wanted to race a modified, ever since I started racing.  I like the open wheel style of a modified; I always liked racing the Champ karts when I had the chance, they have a similar open wheel style.”

Bryan Searles#07, Mr. Determination!!!

Bryan Searles, of Presque Isle, Maine competed in 4 different series at 3 different race tracks (Thundering Valley Raceway – Richmond Karting Speedway, and Spud Speedway)   during the 2017 race season.   Driving the #07 Bryan was able to win two championships. One at Spud Speedway, the other at Thundering Valley. Then round off the season with a second place in the RKS “XXX” Series and a 6th for overall points in the RKS regular season. “It feels like I worked really hard to get here and that everyone has been really kind and helpful. Everyone has been really good competition for me and that’s helpful since I want to go to NASCAR someday.”

 

With all the races he ran this past season Bryans highlight came during a night race at RKS, “One of my most memorable moments from this year was, my first win at RKS, was that I won the first triple X race.”

Bryan Searles – It’s fun to drive under the lights.

Bryan Searles of Presque Isle, Maine is one of the new rising stars in the Richmond Karting Speedway “XXX” Series.  In the first night race of the season Bryan got his first career win at RKS, “It felt good. I had to really work for that one because everyone is so competitive there.”

On Friday night July 28th the drivers will return to RKS for race number 2, in the “XXX” series, to once again race under the lights. “It’s fun to drive under the lights. It’s not as hot. The night race is cooler and the day race is much hotter. My kart handles better in the night time. ”

Matt Gaudreau – “I Believe”

In the first race of the 2017 season in the Sign Works Bandolero Series,  Matt Gaudreau of Eastford, CT , got his first win at NHMS. “To get my first feature win at NHMS in the Bando was very exiting to me and my crew as we are still fairly new to the bando scene.  This first win gave us the confidence that we needed to keep improving.”

 

The bandoleros return to the Mini Magic Mile, on July 8th.  “As far as being ready for this coming mini mile race in the bando, I am ready.  We still need to perform the regular maintenance on the car, and make any adjustments that we need to make.  We will be ready by the end of this week.

Teddy Hodgdon Racing Up MOAT Mountain

Teddy Hodgdon of Danbury, CT is driving the #28 legend car, in the MOAT Mnt Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  The MOAT Mnt Legends are back at NHMS for another double header  weekend at NHMS.   “We might have to make some slight adjustments during the weekend, but with the baseline from our shop we should be quick right out of the gate.”

In the last road course race here at NHMS, Teddy was able to get a top 3 finish and take a spot on the podium in victory lane. “We got lucky at the start of the race and after the restart I was able to settle into 3rd.  I was able to hold on to that position for the rest of the race.”
