Bobby Timmons To Tackle Full Season At Beech Ridge
Mulkern Racing Fields Pro Series Entry For Windham Driver
He’s already been behind the wheel of a race car for most of his life, but this season Bobby Timmons enters a brave new world.
Timmons, 19, of Windham, will compete full-time in the Pro Series division for Super Late Models at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 SouthernMaineMotors.com/Timmons Builders Chevrolet. Beech Ridge opens its NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season this Saturday night, May 26, at 6:30 p.m.
Though he made four starts in the Super Late Model at the tail end of the 2011 season, the bulk of Timmons’ racing resume is comprised of starts in a NELCAR Legends car and go-karts at Beech Ridge. This is his first full season in a full-size stock car, and his goals are appropriately modest.

Starting in the fifth position in the qualifying race and finishing second in just fifteen laps the team knew they were good to run in the top ten but didn’t feel they had a car capable of winning so a few adjustments were made after the qualifying race. read more…

Lonnie Sommerville: PASS North Series
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, started the 2012 PASS North Series season off on the right foot by finishing second in the SouthernMaineMotors.com 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, May 5. The result marked Sommerville’s fourth straight Top-5 finish at Beech Ridge in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders Chevrolet dating back to this event last season. Sommerville led on two different occasions early in the race after starting fourth in the 32-car field, but a long green-flag run to the checkered flag kept him just short of the top spot at the finish line.
