ANDREW CROSBY SCORES LITTLE ENDURO WIN AT 95

Andrew Crosby of Hermon won the battle in the Little Enduros at Speedway 95 Wednesday night when he passed pole sitter Travis Beale of Hampden on lap 23 of the caution free 25 lap series race, and went on to post his first win of the season in the division. Darren Durrell of Newburgh also worked his way past Beale on lap 23 to finish second, with Beale finishing third. Ted Ryder of Carmel was fourth and Garret Hayman of Milford came in fifth. Beale was the overall winner of the three race series, and admitted in his post race interview that he was points racing to win the series title, which is why he didn’t challenge Crosby and Durrell when they passed him with two laps to go.

Chip Grenier Takes First Win of the Season on Safelite Night

Barre, VT – Graniteville’s Chip Grenier claimed his first win of the 2011 season on Safelite Auto Glass Night at Thunder Road on Thursday, August 4. Grenier started on the outside pole, but had a hard battle with Joey Becker and then Grant Folsom during four restarts in the 50 lap event.

After the final restart on lap 34, Grenier and Folsom broke away from the field. Nick Sweet worked his way to third, while Trampas Demers came from the 16th starting position to take fourth with Becker in fifth. Cris Michaud, co-point leader Dave Pembroke, rookie Jimmy Hebert, Matt White and Derek Ming completed the top ten.

Drivers Start Your Engines!!!

This past weekend the drivers returned to the race track, and with names like Benjamin, Rowe, and Lachance, driving as fast as they could go. But it is not quite what you think, this is the next generation of drivers Kaleb Benjamin, Noah Lachance, Gunnar Rowe, and Braxton Rowe as they race in the kart series at Richmond Karting Speedway (RKS).

Beech RidgeSCARBOROUGH, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., finished sixth in the American Canadian Tour 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, July 30. Hoar started the feature on the outside pole after an impressive 9th-to-4th-place run in his heat race, and he cleared the polesitter on the first lap and went on to lead 43 laps. He would eventually be passed, and settle into the Top-5 for the rest of the race as his handling continued to go away. In the closing laps, Hoar battled with teammate Austin Theriault to give RPM Motorsports two cars in the Top-6 at the checkered flag.

ACT Tour RacingSCARBOROUGH, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, continued his strong mid-summer performance with a fifth-place finish in the American Canadian Tour 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, July 30. Theriault’s first ACT Late Model Tour Top-5 of the season comes one week after his impressive podium finish in the TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine – where he became the youngest Top-3 finisher in the 38-year history of the Oxford 250. The RPM Motorsports team will travel to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Tuesday, August 2, to begin testing for the ACT All-Star Challenge, which will be held during IZOD IndyCar weekend at the track on August 12-14. Theriault hopes the momentum of two strong Late Model finishes will continue through the ACT All-Star Challenge. (more…)
