(Hermon, Me) The CAM II Racing Fuels Super Street Series came to an end at Speedway 95 Saturday, August 4th with Steve Moulton of Glenburn earning the championship by just two points over John Kalel, II of Orrington.

(Hermon, Me) The Coca Cola Limited Sportsman Series Championship was settled in a 50-lap feature Saturday July 28th at Maine’s family fun track, Speedway 95

            Despite leading every lap in the third and final race of the Coca Cola Limited Sportsman Series and coming home with the win, it was not Bobby Seger, Jr. of Frankfort who grabbed the series Championship, it was fourth place finisher Brenton Parritt of Steuben who had the most points and earned the title. Seger, who is headed off to NASCAR tech school this week did however, end his season with a dominate finish, over Deane Smart of Bradley who took second and Nick Jenkins of Milo who grabbed third from Parritt with two laps to go.

(Hermon, Me) Side by side action were the words of the day at Speedway 95 in Hermon on Saturday, July 21st.

Defending Champion John Phippen, Jr. of Town Hill, and point leader Paul White of Corrinna went head to head in the Dysart’s Sportsman ProStock race. The pair traded the top spot, side by side, door to door in the closing laps of the race, when the checkered flag flew, Phippen was at the front, taking the win, and White ended his stellar run in second. Doug Day of Glenburn crossed the line for third in the high tension race.

(Hermon, Me) After rain washed out Wacky Wednesday Action at Speedway 95, hope for racing on Thursday July 19th seemed dim, with the forecast calling for more rain. Despite a few quick showers, the race card was complete for the first, and hopefully last Wacky Thursday of the season.
